A. Character
Manny : Wise and Clever mammoth. Manny is a husband for his wife, Ellie and a father for his daughter, Peaches. But, Manny is over protective to his daughter and it makes their relationship wide apart. Manny reputed as the leader of the herd. Because he is the biggest among them and always help others.
Diego : Brave and good fighter. Diego be said to be a kind tiger. Because another tiger usually wicked and attack other animals. Although Diego has long fangs and scary face, he never bad acts to others. He only uses his ability in the urgent situation.
Peaches : Manny and Ellie’s daughter. She is pick-headed. She feels suppressed because his father who over protective about herself. Actually, she is very kind and brave. She also really loves her father.
Louis : He is very brave even though he is small. He is a porcupine who likes Peaches. Louis is a good friend and very kind.
Granny : Sid’s grandmother who is very talkactive and a little bit strange. Because granny is old, she often makes problems for the herd. However, Sid always protects granny and do everything for granny.
Pirates : The bad guys who want to be a king of ocean. They are the enemy of Manny and the gang who want to kill them and stole their ship. The leader of their group is a monkey who very rough and miserly.

C. Synopsis
This story take place centuries ago when the
earth was formed. A squirrel with his nut destroyed the ice and make
continental drift happened. There are a sloth named Sid, a mammoth named Manny,
and a tiger named Diego. Shortly after, a continental break-up separates Manny
from the herd. Trapped on a moving chunk of ice with Sid and Diego, Manny has
no choice but to ride out the current. They use an iceberg as a makeshift ship.
Meanwhile a giant land shift encroaches on Ellie, Peaches, and those remaining
on land, causing them to make their way toward the land bridge.
When Manny and the herd on the way to find a
better land, they met with pirates. The pirates wanted to steal their ship.
Manny tried to fight them and successful stole the pirates’ ship. Manny, Sid,
Diego, and Granny return home only to find the land bridge destroyed in the
earthquakes and that Gutt and his crew made it there first. The Pirates tried
to vengeance and attacked the Manny’s family. They were safe because of whale’s
help.
D. Expression of
language
Peaches: “I wish you are not my father!.”
(She hates her father’s attitude who always overprotective about her)
Diego: “I don’t think that was you.” (He
wants to contradict sid’s argument)
The Pirate: “There is no home, there is only
here! Your ship belong to me!.” (He threaten manny and the gang )
Louis: “Stop it!.” (He snaps the pirates who
want to hurt peaches)
E. Comments
In my opinion, this story has a moral value
that learn us how to be a solid team. We need bestfriend to solve our problem
together. We should care and help each other. The most important things is we
should love our family. This story also tells us about a daddy’s love to his
family. He wants to do everything for protect his family.
